Camera is the only letdown, as pictures are not that great,and there's too much sharpening in photos which really messed up photo quality. I really wanted to upgrade to the new XZ premium, but I couldn't get over those huge bezels, weak stereo speakers,not that improved camera over the Z5, inferior sound quality through headphones over the Z5. I just love sony phones, I used to own Z3 which is still working as new, as I handled it to my father, for for now, im not seeing a real update in their new lineup.

The closer it got to the 2 year update policy,they changed their minds, and released a maintenance update that solved bugs mainly I've been following this ever since I bought it. I waited, until late december, when they said no. Well I can get nougat other ways, and I did. TWRP'ed it ,rommed it with aicp rom, now it has 7. Nougat works very well, better than marshmallow, smoother, more responsive, native floating windows, substratum theme engine as part of the rom , magisk root manager, etc..

Why is it not possible to get any android version running on any device. Are they so different? I think the way this OS is distributed, it is done for the purpose to make customers or users to upgrade to a new phone. The new features in an OS should benefit everybody and not just a chosen few. I believe that there are many people who buy a new phone, just to experience the new features of the latest OS. I call this customer manipulation. Luckily it actually charges the battery but I can't tell where it is at all day.
